During this Hot Summer, some of the new trees and lawns along the boulevards, need some extra watering – especially new homes in the West Village. 

Please water your boulevard trees along with your lawns and gardens.  The Town of Markham watering by-law asks that all even # homes water their lawns on even days between 6 to 9 am and/or 6 – 9 pm and odd # homes at the same times on odd days. 

Please NOTE – watering restrictions do NOT apply to newly – laid sod until AFTER two months after it has been laid. This means that everyone who just got their lawn sodded can water throughout the summer every day.  New sod, needs to be soaked every day for 2 weeks solid.
